It shall be unlawful for any person to construct or maintain a private swimming pool,
spa, and/or hot tub within the city without first obtaining a permit from the plumbing
inspector and the building inspector. In addition to meeting the requirements of this
chapter, all such private swimming pools, spas, and/or hot tubs shall comply with
all requirements of the North Carolina Residential Code and any appendix thereto.
